Gentle, wonderful Korean men
The New York Times ran an article on all the Korean men marrying Vietnamese women. It was pretty interesting. I really feel that the Koreans are completely respecting their counterparts. The agency mentioned here seems particularly well-run. I mean look at this quote: “One last thing. Other companies allow you to sleep with the women on the first night. We don’t. Only on the bridal night. We must, after all, keep our decorum as Korean men. Is that O.K. with you?” You can't be more reputable than that! I mean making them wait until their wedding night! That really adds dignity to the situation.
It is also apparent these women completely understand the situation they are getting into. I have worked with Korean many for many years, and I can completely attest to what she is saying: "To be honest, I don’t know much about Korea except what I’ve seen on television,” Ms. Vien said. “But the Korean landscape is beautiful. Korean men look sophisticated and affectionate. They seem responsible, and they live in harmony with their family members and their colleagues.” That affectionate one hits it right on the head.
Here is a true one: “Nowadays, Korean women have higher standards,” said Lee Eun-tae, the owner of Interwedding Agency. You mean that Korean women don't want to do dishes, take care of kids, make food, deal with you when you are drunk off your feet, just after getting back from banging a prostitute with all of your buddies? Wow, these picky Korean women!
